M42 fever: EBC Fujinon Macro 55 f/3.5
Testing the capabilities of some of my M42 lenses on an FF DSLR ...
After enjoying this great macro lens on my K10D (see here), i used an M42 Fuji-to-EOS adapter (i.e. with an inner flange for the auto pin) to mount this lens on my 5D MkII.
No doubt this lens is a winner, on both APS-C and FF cameras ...

Airbus Beluga
As third post for this new series, an almost in-axis front view of an Airbus Beluga landing at the Toulouse Blagnac (LFBO) airport.
The eye of my camera was an M42 lens, an EBC Fujinon-T 135 f/2.5 mounted with a Fuji to EOS adapter bought by the MFLenses forum member calvin83. The adapter is crafted for use with M42 Fuji lenses, with a slot for the lug at the bottom of the lens (no more need to dremel it) and an inner flange to push down the diaphragm pin.
The picture is straight from the raw file, processed by DxO with the standard landscape profile.

My first post: Airbus Family Day 2010
Hi all,
The Airbus Family Day 2010 has been an excellent opportunity to play with my new toy, a Canon EOS 5D Mark II. For that occasion, it was equipped with an EF 70-200 f/2.8 L IS USM zoom (rental).
To celebrate its 40-th anniversary, Airbus held an "open doors" day on Sunday 19 September. The Toulouse-based facilities were open the whole day, allowing the people working on site to share with their families and friends their own work.
For once, the cameras were freely allowed on the whole site, thus offering the possibility to bring home some nice shots, so i brought with me my Pentax K10D (pictures shown here) and my EOS 5D Mark II ...
One of the most impressive subjects, were the Engine Alliance GP7200 engine, one of the two engines available for the A380, with its impressive inlet of about 2.9 meters (a bit less than 10ft):
Here you can appreciate a bit better the size of the inlet:
On my Flickr photostream available here there is a small set of the 800+ pictures taken during the whole day.
Definitively, a nice sunny day spent on the runways, with more than 100.000 people enjoying it ...
P.S.: To make Technorati happier, my claim code is QAFAVW9GY3SH ...
